ForgeRivalOwnership and review
Teams and their lawful rightsholders retain ownership of robots, CAD, code, portfolios and other submissions. A final entry agreement should grant only the limited non-exclusive permission needed to receive, store and review work for administration, judging, technical inspection and dispute handling. Members must have permission for institution-owned or third-party material; entry does not transfer ownership to ForgeRival. No submission upload exists in this preview.
Confidential information
Before accepting submissions, define reviewer access, confidentiality commitments, conflict checks, retention and a method to flag patent-sensitive information. Do not upload trade secrets to an unspecified channel or assume a public presentation preserves patent rights. Any public portfolio or presentation recording requires a clearly disclosed publication decision and the appropriate permission.
Photography and promotion
Promotional use of participant likenesses, interviews, team designs or portfolio extracts must be covered by a separate, specific permission stating uses, channels and duration. A leader cannot opt every teammate into publicity. Declining optional promotion must not by itself prevent entry. Event-wide photography, livestreaming and CCTV require their own notices and practicable arrangements; none is treated as authorised by these draft checkboxes. Minors need the appropriate separate process.
Withdrawal and third parties
A final media permission must explain how to withdraw future discretionary use and the limits of removing copies already lawfully published or independently shared. Sponsor access, AI training and unrelated commercial reuse are not part of the basic review permission. Use of sponsor marks, third-party content and commissioned work needs the right permissions.
